Michelle Lim was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2011. Before joining Pevy Lawyers, Michelle’s work was split across law firms in Singapore and Queensland. Her time in Singapore saw her acting for international insurers and legacy airlines in a wide range of matters, including well known air crash accidents. Making the decision to call the Gold Coast home has seen Michelle’s more recent experience narrow to property matters. In her past role at a well known Gold Coast property law firm, Michelle acted for property developers in transactional and advisory matters, conveyed business sales and purchases, and assisted in managing commercial leasing portfolios.
Michelle took up her position at Pevy Lawyers in mid 2016 with a view to establishing herself as a bi-lingual expert lawyer for the accommodation industry. Michelle speaks and writes English and Chinese Mandarin fluently, and forms an integral part of the Pevy Lawyers’ management rights team, including with respect to servicing its large clientele of chinese origin.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Engineering, and is admitted as a practicing solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Michelle holds past and current memberships of the Queensland Law Society, Australian Insurance Law Association, Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand and Medico-Legal Society of Queensland.
Michelle loves spending time with her family and travelling overseas with them whenever the opportunity arises. She also relishes the chance to contribute to the local community, including volunteering her musical talents at senior centres and hospices.
